BIOGRAPHY

After Barbara and I left Mountain Home and the air force in April 1975, we went back to Stephen F. Austin University in east Texas where I got a teaching certificate and she finished her degree. Barbara and I got a divorce later that year. We separated on amicable terms and still keep in touch with emails and Facebook. I taught high school math in Hitchcock, Texas, but I didn't enjoy it and I decided to do something else. I enrolled in a watch making school in Houston and after graduation I worked in a jewelry store repairing watches and clocks (no, I will not repair your clock for you — my other hobbies take up too much time). The one good thing about my teaching experience was that I married in 1976 the lady who taught in the room next me — Daphne Tillerson of Galveston. Daphne had two children so I became a stepfather to Michael and Renee. Michael, who lives in Galveston, is a TSgt in the air force reserves and Renee is married Burch Kealey and they have a five year old son. They live in Omaha, Nebraska, where he teaches at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
