                                                                          BIOGRAPHY

Colonel George J. Pierce is the Acting Director of Logistics at Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. He is responsible for policy, budget and oversight of the command's aircraft maintenance, munitions, supply, transportation and logistics plans activities. He provides logistics direction to the more than 20,000 logistics personnel assigned to nearly 700 units nationwide supporting 389 attack, fighter, air refueling, strategic and tactical airlift, special operations and surveillance aircraft. Colonel Pierce leads a directorate staff of more than 120 civilian, air reserve technician, traditional reservist and active duty personnel and oversees combined budgets of greater than $1.5 billion.
Colonel Pierce was born in Kansas and raised in Antioch, Illinois. He earned a commission upon graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1979. He has flown Air Force helicopters for the combat rescue and special operations missions.
